Readership varies by age and while 73% of Canadian adults read a daily newspaper each week, older adults tend to read more frequently than younger adults. Readership of traditional printed dailies matches the population however, readers of free dailies and online editions are more likely to be younger. Readership also varies by education, occupation and household income.
