A committee was put together to examine the current product questionnaire. There are 12 members of the committee representing member newspapers and advertising agencies. The main objective of this group was to review the questionnaire for flow and ensure the content is relevant to members. The committee recommended several changes that were incorporated with suggestions from TNS Canadian Facts.
The following major changes were made and will be reflected in the 2009 product questionnaire:

- Updated and clarified the wording in the question "Method of Internet Access"
- Changed column headings for "Websites Accessed" from "None, 1-10, 11+" to "Daily, Weekly, Monthly"
- Changed the column in "Customer Reward/Loyalty Programs" to two columns: "Collected" and "Redeemed"
- Changed "Business Travel to Another City" to "Business Travel (Out of Town)"
- Changed "Type of Fuel" heading to "Type of Engine" so the category reflects hybrid vehicles and future types of vehicle e.g. electric
- Changed "Prescription eyeglasses/contacts" category to "Eye Care"
- Changed row "Convenience store" in "Type of Grocery Store" to "Convenience store/Pharmacy"
- Changed heading "Home Improvements to Principal Dwelling Mostly Done by Self or Other" to "Home Improvements to Principal Dwelling"
- Changed column heading "Total Amount Spent on Materials" to "Total Amount Spent"
- Changed example in "Gardening Supplies" to include "Plants, Trees"
- Reorganized the financial section, rearranged questions for clarity and also rearranged listings in each question in each category (e.g. loans, insurance, investments )

In addition, there were several minor changes that are normally part of the annual update process.
