The 2009 NADbank study found that 83% of adults 18+ had accessed the internet over the past three months. Similarly, in 2009 the CIUS found that 80% of Canadians 16 years of age and older, or 21.7 million people, used the internet for personal reasons last year, which is up from 73% in 2007. Statistics Canada is the national statistical agency and is therefore recognized as the ‘gold standard’ for measuring the behaviours and lifestyles of Canadians. Given the comparable research findings to those of Statistics Canada, NADbank’s credibility as a reliable study has yet again been validated!
The NADbank study has a wide breadth of information which relates to internet users, in addition to print and online newspaper readership, media habits and leisure activities. As reinforced by the Statistics Canada data, NADbank continues to provide dependable data about the lives of Canadians.
