Supporting ChartsOnline Newspaper Readership: Changing the conversation |
Our guest speaker was Patricia Graham; Editor-in-Chief of The Vancouver Sun. Ms. Graham gave a compelling and engaging speech which focused on the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
She provided the audience with an appreciation of the process they went through to bring this event to their readers. Below is a quote from her speech:
“The Vancouver Sun, The Province and Canwest News Service assigned 54 journalists to cover the Olympics and Paralympics. 98% of the Sun’s newsroom worked almost entirely on Olympics during the 17 days of the Games. The newsroom worked closely with advertising to produce 19 special Olympic supplements of high interest to both readers and advertisers.”
