Fall 2010 Interim Report Release

Fall 2010 Interim Report will be released for interested markets

Due to the 2010 half sample data, the fall Interim Report release will be affected. It will not be possible to release a “full sample” in the major markets this Fall.

The Technical Committee and Board reviewed the policies for data release in the context of half sample only in 2010. Given that 2010 was a short-term tactic and will be reversed in 2011, the NADbank Board of Directors agreed to relax the full sample release rule for the Interim Report release in the fall of 2010.

The Interim release in participating markets will be comprised of 75% of a full sample. This will allow timely results to be released to the industry. The top-line data will be stable with the smaller samples; however, the ability for detailed analyses will be more limited than with the full sample.

The difficult decisions made regarding sample sizes for 2010 have made it possible to fund a strong NADbank 2010 Study in difficult times. Now that economic conditions have improved, the funding of full samples by newspapers will once again provide members with the same utility and quality that they have relied on for the last two decades.
